36 Wks Update

So wow I made it to 36 wks WOOHOO!!!! I knew I would have made it but apparently no one one thought that my uterus would hold up, I keep reminding myself that Troy was one week late before he decided to make his grand appearance and they still had to vacuum him out as he decided to take a nap during labor poor thing he was tired :)

So babies looked great, we did a non-stress test to check on the babies to make sure they were ok and of course they were as happy as two pigs in mud :) Unfortunately we didn't get any weights this week as our usual tech is in Greece she just got engaged, hopefully she will be back next week.

It hurts so bad to walk now, Adri has been pushing me in a wheelchair to my Drs appt, last week an older lady had to help me from my car to the Dr's office as it hurt like heck to move my legs. The steering wheel of my truck is now rubbing on my belly even though we adjusted the height ::) I think it's hilarious

Until next week or if something really cool happens before then talk to you all soon

P.S. Congrats to the Ingrams on their beautiful  new addition

Letter to My Hubby and Son

Last night as you laid there snoring while I couldn't sleep, I looked at you and thought of how much I love you and how lucky I am to have you as a husband. You have been so caring through this whole transition and it has not been easy. Sometimes I feel like an elephant like I have been pregnant forever but not once have you ever looked frustrated or even once murmured. You are my saint

You make me breakfast every morning before work, you always have a stack of water for me to keep me hydrated and not to mention Sunday dinners, and I have to note yesterday's dinner was AWESOME !!!!!! You cut the lawn, you did the nursery, you painted other rooms in the house, you beautified the garden, you feed the pets, you even remember to give us kisses. What more can a girl ask for.

I also have to mention my son, who is in constant competition with me and now says he is carrying triplets and can hardly make it up the stairs because of the size of his belly :) but he still brings mommy water, and her lemonade and always holds my hand while I wobble to take him to his play dates ... oops sorry correction they're not play dates as he is way too old for those but to his hang outs, he even rubs my feet occasionally.

Thank you both for also always scolding me when I am up cooking, cleaning or doing something that I shouldn't be doing as you know by the end of the day that there will have to be more back rubs and more requests :)

You two are the absolute best guys any one woman/mom could ever ask for and I just wanted you both to know how much I love and appreciate you both.

Thanks loves

35 Week Update

Three more weeks to go will I make it to 38 wks, right now my head is saying I really hope not as I am so uncomfortable and I hurt like heck, don't even mention trying to get up and down the stairs. PAINFUL

So my little bumkins are getting bigger Baby A (boy) is now 5lb 5oz and Baby B (girl) is now 5lb 1oz, so I'm toting around a little over 10lbs in my belly but i'm not complaining as that lady in Texas carried a 16lb baby OUCH!!

Everything seems well with the babies they are both practicing their breathing, Baby girl flipped again she is no longer head down she is back up and laying across my belly and Baby boy is still head down very low down which is putting all this pressure on mommy's pelvic.

I am almost sure they will not be here this wkend so lets see what next week will bring .

Talk Soon

Pre-Term Labor 34wks ...YIKES

This could have very well be a post that the babies are here, luckily for us it was a false alarm, a very painful false alarm I may add. Started Saturday morning when I went to pee for the 1000th time I just felt weird and I had so much pressure and pain. I told Adri that I wasn't feeling well and I was having lots of pains.

The first one came a little after 8am it felt like a tight painful hug from  my abdomen to my back wow that hurt, mostly in my back though it took my breathe away, this went on for most of the day. Some were manageable I must say the walking and the rocking helped a lot, Adri was amazing he was rubbing my back even though he was rubbing sometimes when I had a contraction and I was hitting his hand away :) (Sorry babe)

During all of this I had the strange urge to clean but I couldn't so I had Adri vacuum the bedroom floor, and while I was at the bathroom sink rocking I grabbed the sponge and washed the sink.. I have no idea what that was about :)

Anyway they started getting worst and closer together, so we decided to pack up and drive to the hospital, thankfully once we got there they were kinda tapering off, they hooked me up to an IV as the Dr on call thought getting fluids in my system would slow down labor I guess it worked for now, so we will see.

We go to perinatal tomorrow so I will fill you in

I must be dreaming ... 34 wks

This has to be a dream, this cannot be real .... am I really throwing up again, nausea again, my spit bottle again. No this is not a dream this is a nightmare ......
Unfortunately not as I am looking over and there stands my spit bottle :( I called my nurse today and she sympathetically said to me "sometimes the way it begins so it will end" I can't imagine going through that again not even for a full week so I do hope that this is just a fluke and it too shall soon pass. When will you be here babies mommy can't take this for much longer

The Countdown is on 1cm and counting !!! July 1st-5th

No turning back now, it has begun .. the countdown that is. So sit back here we go :)
So I have been having cravings for crabs, mussels and corn ever since we decided to have girls night out 2 wk ends ago at Jan's house. Since it hurts so much to walk now I decided to wait for TJ to get back from camp so we could go together, he was such a huge help for me and so over protective it's amazing I wanted to make a pit stop and pick something up for my hair but he told me "NO"that i was definitely not stopping as he was too small to carry me and reminded me that he couldn't drive so lets stick to the course :) Oh My ...
We finished picking out our goodies sonny boy paid for our stuff and back to the car we headed, however something didn't feel right I was feeling very strange pressure more than usual and more pain, but I am known for powering through the pain as I don't want to be (for lack of a better word, A WUSS ) so I kept on going, walking rather slowly to the car.

Got home and T and I had our crabs and mussels and it was yummy, time to get up the stairs and OMG it hurt like heck, it was so painful it was even harder to turn in bed. Saturday was no better I was afraid to get up and go to the loo it felt as if the babies were going to pop out at any time. Sunday no better, I remembered  saying to Adri that I really want these babies to come out now as I can't take the pain any longer, this was actually the first time that I have ever thought or even verbalized this, so it was really bad.

Sunday, the same or even more pressure and I came to the determination that something has to be wrong this can't be right it shouldn't hurt so bad, so who did I call before I decided to call the Dr ??? You guessed right my Mommy :) She mentioned to call the Dr as it could be contractions so I called and I mentioned to her that I have been feeling this pressure since Friday but no contractions, which she the assured me that I could be having contractions and confusing it for pressure so to come in to the ER right away.

So off we went at around 10pm they hooked me up to the monitors and of course the babies were protesting especially baby girl who was kicking the monitors off and baby boy kept moving from side to side.. my silly kids :) I was amazed to see the number of contractions that I was having, however not consistent but they were definitely there, they checked me to see what was going on and indeed I was 1cm dilated. So the pressure that I was feeling and the horrible back-aches that I was having were contractions, it felt like my belly did a full squeeze more like a really tight, painful hug.

Went to the Dr today I am still at 1cm Thank God, and Baby A (Boy) has definitely dropped in my pelvic area as he could actually fell his head, so I am hoping that I can make until next week, but let me be ambitious in my thinking and say they may wait for another 2 wks RIGHT ??

You can do it babies, I know you can .. I will keep you all posted on whats going on it's starting to get crazy over here, but exciting TJ can't wait :)

My Bag is ALMOST packed :)

So I have been delaying packing my bags as I figured no pack bags, no babies :) No not really just thought June or May was way to early to get things ready. So I have been doing some online purchasing to gather a few things here and there and today I finally did it, well almost at least. Daddy is out now picking up the rest of the stuff.
So I printed off a list from Similac.com but I am almost sure you can download a check list from any site like TheBump.com, WhattoExpect.com  or BabyCenter . These are my favorite sites.
So they have everything categorized for you such as

  1. General Necessities eg insurance card, camera, admissions forms etc
  2. Personal Care Items eg. Glasses,Toothpaste/brush,lip gloss, Maxi pads etc
  3. Clothing eg. Robe, slippers, nursing bras, pads etc
  4. Must haves for labor eg. Birth Plan if you will be using one for us its whatever goes, and make sure to medicate me :) Birth ball, massage oils etc.
  5. Extra eg. Snacks, magazines, iPod, batteries etc
  6. For Baby eg. Car seat ( u won't get very far without this one) hat, socks. outfit/s
  7. For Dad eg snacks, shaver, phone numbers/contact list, change of clothes, cash & change\
With all this stuff I feel as if I am packing for vacation:) Oh and I am definitely taking my pillow with being in the hospital so many times throughout this pregnancy the hospital's pillows really suck.

I packed 2 little socks for baby girl as her outfits didn't come with socks:) 2 outfits for coming home & 2 for taking pics in so that they are not swaddled in the hospital blankets. I also packed 2 little blankets for them for when they are coming home T and I couldn't decide on Baby Girls blanket but I think we decided upon one, since it will be hot we wanted something that wasn't too hot.

So hopefully all my purchases will be shipped and received by next week so I can finish up and have my bags my the door, I have this weird feeling that Adri might run out and leave the bags behind, I'm almost sure we are going to forgot something I'll fill u in once it happens:)

Oh BTW I have been on a crab, mussels and corn binge since last week OMG its so good I have to drive about 40mins to get it from the store but oooh it's so worth it. Don't worry babe I left u corn :)

Lata All
