No turning back now, it has begun .. the countdown that is. So sit back here we go :)
So I have been having cravings for crabs, mussels and corn ever since we decided to have girls night out 2 wk ends ago at Jan's house. Since it hurts so much to walk now I decided to wait for TJ to get back from camp so we could go together, he was such a huge help for me and so over protective it's amazing I wanted to make a pit stop and pick something up for my hair but he told me "NO"that i was definitely not stopping as he was too small to carry me and reminded me that he couldn't drive so lets stick to the course :) Oh My ...
We finished picking out our goodies sonny boy paid for our stuff and back to the car we headed, however something didn't feel right I was feeling very strange pressure more than usual and more pain, but I am known for powering through the pain as I don't want to be (for lack of a better word, A WUSS ) so I kept on going, walking rather slowly to the car.
Got home and T and I had our crabs and mussels and it was yummy, time to get up the stairs and OMG it hurt like heck, it was so painful it was even harder to turn in bed. Saturday was no better I was afraid to get up and go to the loo it felt as if the babies were going to pop out at any time. Sunday no better, I remembered saying to Adri that I really want these babies to come out now as I can't take the pain any longer, this was actually the first time that I have ever thought or even verbalized this, so it was really bad.
Sunday, the same or even more pressure and I came to the determination that something has to be wrong this can't be right it shouldn't hurt so bad, so who did I call before I decided to call the Dr ??? You guessed right my Mommy :) She mentioned to call the Dr as it could be contractions so I called and I mentioned to her that I have been feeling this pressure since Friday but no contractions, which she the assured me that I could be having contractions and confusing it for pressure so to come in to the ER right away.
So off we went at around 10pm they hooked me up to the monitors and of course the babies were protesting especially baby girl who was kicking the monitors off and baby boy kept moving from side to side.. my silly kids :) I was amazed to see the number of contractions that I was having, however not consistent but they were definitely there, they checked me to see what was going on and indeed I was 1cm dilated. So the pressure that I was feeling and the horrible back-aches that I was having were contractions, it felt like my belly did a full squeeze more like a really tight, painful hug.
Went to the Dr today I am still at 1cm Thank God, and Baby A (Boy) has definitely dropped in my pelvic area as he could actually fell his head, so I am hoping that I can make until next week, but let me be ambitious in my thinking and say they may wait for another 2 wks RIGHT ??
You can do it babies, I know you can .. I will keep you all posted on whats going on it's starting to get crazy over here, but exciting TJ can't wait :)
