Mo'Pweeze Launch Party

Omg... Last week this time we were in overdrive, there were cupcakes everywhere, some in the oven, some on racks for cooling, some ready for decorating, some being prepared for coring to add our bourbon filling. We were a well oiled machine.

We started baking around 10:30a.m. and we started winding down around 2:30 am, I am the baker and the decorator so needless to say I was tired, but motivated and excited to get it all done and perfect. We make our own blend of flours to offer our customers the safest and tastiest treat and as a result some times the texture can be a little off but I was determined to have the textures perfect so after ditching about 3-4 batches I had the perfect blend for our Choco Chocolate cupcake and I am happy to say that it was a HIT.

The party was a success we had a nice steady stream of people coming in and out, everyone raved about how moist and delicious our cupcakes were, we were serving up Mo'llinis in stead of Bellini s  and fruits and crackers which no one was interested in, everyone just wanted to eat cupcakes and hey who could blame them.

I want to personally say a big thank you to my husband Adrian for being my taster and critique, to my son Troy for always offering me creative ideas, my beautiful sister Jan for always jumping in and making it happen and for setting up our beautiful space for our party. To our creative directors Kerry and Mike  for creating our logo, and for making our Mo'Pweeze Inspiration boards, and to Micaela for taking our beautiful pics and giving me awesome ideas, and to Maddi and Sani for keeping me happy each and every day.

Thank you everyone for all of your support, keep on supporting us check out our website and by the way order something :-)

Asthma is scary

We are finally home from the E.R.. Maddox woke up with quite the insistent cough this morning, puked, cleaned him up, put him back to bed, woke up again and we gave him an Albuterol treatment. 15 minutes later no sign of relief,  so we gave him another. Seemed to have helped for about 5 mins then started back.
Called the pediatrician she suggested one more treatment if that didn't work then off to the E.R. for us. Yes you guessed it, it didn't work. Upon ten minutes of being at the hospital he was in his gown, being given Prednosone, and some other steroid and being given another round of Albuterol and another and another.
Sixth time was the charm we are back home, he's sleeping still coughing but keeping a watchful eye on him.
For all those parents with kids with Asthma and or food allergies please watch and know the signs it will and can save your loved ones life.

What a freaking morning !!!

OMG whooosaaaaahhhhhhh... Morning started off with same routine no changes, came downstairs just before work to get breakfast ready for the kids and slice  my pineapple to munch on for the day. As soon as I picked up the pineapple Maddi started itching, he's been doing great as we have found a new allergist and finding the root to all his issues/ challenges. I know he has a sensitivity to certain foods with high Citric acid of course pineapple being one of them. Anyway I continued slicing and as I am slicing he's itching more I thought nothing of it so I placed them in containers on the counter gave him some Zyrtec to calm the itchies but of course thats not working, now he's full out bawling, I can't put him down, he doesn't want to eat he's just wiggling and screaming.

Grand- Father then suggests tht it may be the smell of the pineapple that's irritating him so I put it away wrapped it up in 3 bags, sprayed the house with Febreeze after 10 mins he calmed down. Really Maddi the smell of pineapple ???? He is highly allergic to fish and the smell of fish we don't cook or eat fish inside any longer. He is now outside with Grand-Father and Sani playing thank goodness he was here :)

Yes my kids call my dad Grand-Father I know weird right :)

Toddler Life

One more month before the twins second birthday, where did the time go..... I have finally sat down and chosen pictures from day one to now and whoa what a task by the time I hit the order button I had over 1000 pics ... Crap but they are just so cute I couldn't help it :)

The tantrums have started first it started with Sani with throwing things away, kicking and hitting Maddi while he stood there and bawled, now Maddi is pushing and hitting his sister so time outs are a constant at home now we count to 10 and whom ever is not in time out helps me count. Silly kids

Day off

I had a much needed day off today I had so many plans for my day. I wanted to sleep in late 7:30-8am the latest. Once the kids went to sleep I was gonna get my P90X on maybe catch up on some DVR.... however my kids had other plans for me.
They were up by 6/6:30 Maddi wasn't feeling well so he's been crying all day I couldn't even put him down. They both decided they were not going down for a nap so of course the cry marathon continued plus no day would be complete without the puking. Took big brother to the Dr Sani slept for 45 mins Maddi did not by the time we got home I was able to finally put him down and he played for a few while I cleaned up more puke.
Then the real meltdown began from 6:15 pm- 6:55 pm when both babies decided that they were gonna host a contest of who could cry the longest and the loudest and I think I won.
I just told hubby I don't want to speak to anyone I just want quiet I want to hear nothing this is my wooosahhh moment.
Yes they are in bed fast asleep thank God!!

What the heck !!

Hi everyone happy new year.

Yesterday baby girl was using her toothbrush to brush the Kitty's tail of course Sweet Pea got tired of her real fast and proceeded to flee from Sani but the gate was closed so he was trapped. Sani thought it was a great opportunity for her to get a book to read to him, Sweet pea was not too thrilled about that either so he squeezed himself under the gate and got away. Sani's response was oh no then she blurted out " what the heck" I was floored I couldn't believe it.
She has been blurting out all sorts of stuff but this was the most surprising and oh yeah another shocker she finally said Mommy. I'm on cloud nine Woohoo.

Check back soon
