Contractions have started !!!!!!!
Thursday April 28th woke up very achy, nauseous, pressure ok what else is new let me try to get myself together and head out to work. Troy has been sick all week with strep and scarlet fever so I have been working at home, but my boss called me to tell me that he missed seeing me wobbling so can I come in for a meeting.
The day prior went for a Dr's visit and doc tells me to prepare myself for the babies to come about the second week of July but for certain I will not be preggo on August 2nd. My EDD is Aug 15th, but I really want them to stay baking until at least Aug 1st will Ii get my wish let's see.
So I finally get to work, and it hurts to walk but I power through as I think how did Octomom do it or Kate Gosselin or any other moms with multiples so come on Chris woman up and lets do this..... by evening when I got home I was in so much pain in my lower abdomen, should I call the Dr or just wait and see, my first thought is always it could be gas so need to call, so I crawled to my chair and tried to fall asleep.
Friday April 29th I wake up and I'm AWESOME no pain, no pressure I feel normal WOOHOO, this is a rare moment for me, I am full of energy and went into work and I am all over.
Work day finally over, went to pick Troy up for track as he has missed practice all week cus he was sick and he has a meet this Sunday. I feel something on my left side but I ignore it.... got to track practice but it's canceled. Ok lets go get some Chinese I get out of the car the pain is worse, ok what could this be... I am standing in line the pain is more intense, I am rubbing my left side now the pain is getting unbearable so I lean on the table, the pain comes really hard my belly is tightening the babies are kicking hard, then it releases, then it comes again.
As I walk out of the store my son sees me limping over so he gets the door open for me and help me to get into the car, I couldn't move I couldn't drive, I pulled my pants I nearly took my shirt off I wanted nothing on me, wow this pain is crazy.
Finally drove home, called the Dr she said to come in now, but I just have this thing about going to the hospital and them telling me that its gas and I leave embarrassed, not that I get gas pains often but I guess thats my way of being in denial. Adri said "babe I think it is contractions we should go" I said lets wait and see. So I laid on my left side and tried to drink water it got a little better woosaaa , ok good let me try to go to sleep quickly before it starts again.
Saturday April 30th: Around 8am I received a call from the Dr asking why didn't I come in and I need to get my self in the P.ET. unit immediately, ok I said I will be there. We got dressed we left, they hooked me up on the monitors they had such a hard time finding the babies as they were both laying head to head on my right side and belly to belly I thought that was the cutest sight ever. I wasn't feeling the contractions anymore but it was registering in the monitor that I was indeed contracting from being dehydrated. So they hooked me up on IV fluids and the contractions subsided.
I got home and a whole new pain started OMG there is no way I am going back I just got home, so I decided to go down on all fours and rock which really helped the pain. Woke up Sunday morning with the same pain, so I called the Dr she said it sounds like contractions again but try to rest and drink lots of water and if I feel as if I am not getting enough liquids to come back in.
So message here for all the preggo ladies that are reading please drink lots and lots of water recommend 8 glasses a day. I thought I was drinking the recommended amount but apparently with twins especially when its getting warmer you have to up that amount as the babies take their amount first and leaves you with nothing .
So babies if your listening, mommy. daddy and brother wants to see you but not yet so keep baking
Chris
